About Robyn

Robyn Armstrong

Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology), Flinders University, 1979

Robyn Armstrong is a Senior Speech Pathologist at ONE Rehabilitation Service, joining the team in 2017. Prior to her role at ONE Rehabilitation Service, Robyn spent many years working in inpatient rehabilitation, most recently at the Repatriation General Hospital and Flinders Medical Centre. Before that, she was the Manager of Speech Pathology at Noarlunga Health Services, where she led the speech pathology service at Noarlunga Hospital. Robyn also has extensive experience in academia, having spent several years as a lecturer for the Bachelor of Applied Speech Pathology course at Flinders University, where she taught subjects like Clinical Theory and Methodology, Organic Articulation Disorders, Voice Disorders, and coordinated clinical practice for students.

Robyn’s interest in neurological rehabilitation was sparked by a family member’s childhood experience of neurological surgery. This early exposure to the environment, combined with her passion for healthcare, led her to pursue a career where she could make a meaningful impact. Throughout her career, Robyn has found great satisfaction in her work as a speech pathologist, particularly in the areas of communication and swallowing. She believes there are always opportunities to improve a client’s quality of life, and her goal is to help clients feel more settled and empowered through her care.

Robyn considers working at ONE Rehabilitation Service a privilege, deeply valuing the collaborative team, the clients, and their wider support networks. She is driven by the opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of those who walk through the doors of the service.
