Donna is passionate about supporting individuals and their families who have experienced an acquired brain injury through their rehabilitation journey. She has over 20 years’ experience working in brain injury rehabilitation and is a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) and of the International Network of Social Work Acquired Brain Injury (INSWABI).
Donna has worked in a variety of roles across the continuum of care for individuals who have experienced an injury including as a case manager with the former WorkCover Corporation, as a Rehabilitation Counsellor, as a guardian/advocate/investigator with the Office of the Public Advocate and as a Social Worker in ABI inpatient and community rehabilitation settings and ambulatory settings.
Her extensive knowledge and understanding of the psychosocial challenges faced by individuals who have sustained an acquired brain injury and their families and her in-depth knowledge of community services and resources is crucial in her role as the Principal Social Worker with ONE Rehabilitation Service.
