About Claire
Postgraduate of Speech and Language, City University London.
Claire was first introduced to Speech Pathology working as a speech and language assistant in the UK. She fell in love with the caring and supportive nature of the work being done and the difference it made to the clients lives. It was then she decided to pursue a career in Speech Pathology herself.
Now, Claire has 20 years of experience with extensive knowledge of assessment and treatment of communication and swallowing difficulties in relation to stroke, ABI and progressive neurological conditions. She still loves it for those same reasons she first discovered.
Claire is a very calm and supportive therapist, who takes the time to build relationships with clients, getting to know the important people and contexts of their lives. She knows that communication is a fundamental part of relationships, and relationships are key to our wellbeing. She feels it’s a privilege to support people to maintain and improve these crucial aspects of life.
