At ONE Rehabilitation Service, social work is not treated as an add-on. It is a vital part of helping people and families make sense of life after injury, navigate complex systems, and move forward with the right support around them.
We have an opportunity for a Social Worker to join our team on a maternity leave contract at 0.6 FTE, working alongside experienced and passionate clinicians across our brain injury, stroke, concussion and neurological care streams.
This role is expected to start mid to late September 2026 and is suited to a social worker who is looking for more than just a caseload, someone who wants to be part of meaningful, practical, relationship-driven rehabilitation.
Our social workers play a vital role in helping clients and families navigate the complexity that can come after injury or neurological change. This may include adjustment, advocacy, support coordination, family education, community participation, housing, financial stressors, service access and navigating systems such as the NDIS and Centrelink.
Experience in neurological conditions is highly valued, but not essential. We can support you to build capability in this area, however a genuine interest in brain injury, disability and long-term rehabilitation is important.
A minimum of 2 years of social work experience is preferred for this position.

This role exists due to planned leave within our team, alongside consistent demand for social work within our service, meaning strong referral pathways and a well-supported caseload.

ONE Rehabilitation Service is one of South Australia’s leading allied health providers, delivering evidence-based therapy for people with brain injury, concussion, stroke and neurological conditions.

You will be working with occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech pathologists, psychologists, exercise physiologists and other social workers across our purpose-built Ashford clinic and out in the community.

What you will be doing
- Deliver social work services to support clients and families adjusting to life after brain injury, stroke, concussion or neurological change
- Provide advocacy, counselling, practical support and education
- Assist clients to navigate systems such as NDIS, Centrelink, housing, legal, transport and financial supports
- Identify useful services, referrals and community supports
- Support community reintegration, participation and self-determination
- Work closely with the interdisciplinary team to contribute to goal-driven outcomes
- Engage in supervision, case discussion and team collaboration
- Manage your diary with autonomy
- Focus on meaningful client work with admin support around you

Requirements
- Bachelor or Master of Social Work
- Eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers
- Professional Indemnity Insurance
- Police Check and Working with Children Check
- Driver’s licence required
- Valid work rights in Australia are required
